Songbird The Goddess was Born and Raised between Baltimore and Millington in the state of Maryland. She always sang from as far back as she could remember. She started participating in public events such as church, local talent shows, school events and theater at the age of 6. By 14, Songbird moved to Delaware where her love for rapping started to manifest. By 17, she started penning her own bars and trying her hand at rapping herself. At 23 years old local talent Big Snap took her under his wing and helped her to start pursuing music as a career. After his passing, she continued to pursue music in honor of him. She has said she is inspired by a plethora of artists that have created her unique sound. Artists such as Mary J Blige, Erica Badu, Brandy, Music Soulchild, and Ms. Lauryn Hill have helped her develop her Soulful singing and melody crafting. And her Lyrical inspirations include Ms. Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Tierra Wack, and Rapsody.
