Q: For those that don’t know, can you tell them a little about LouCii LouCianna?
LouCii: I started singing at the age of 3, favorite song was the sister sister theme song born and raised in St. Louis/ East STL , 10 siblings been writing my own songs all my life. My Father committed suicide Jan 18, 2018. And I made a promise to him to make it out the slums devoted mother and music is completely me.
Q: How long have you been writing, and recording music?
LouCii: I’ve been writing music since the age of 6, and recorded my first song in 2009.
Q: Who are some of your favorite artists that motivates you to make music?
LouCii: Whitney Houston, Jagged Edge, Chris Brown, Aaliyah, TLC, MC Lyte, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Teyanna Taylor, and Monica just to name some.
Q: How did you get the nickname LouCii LouCianna?
LouCii: My father called me Lucky LouCii after Lucky Luciano from the MOB, and I made it girlier by adding the LouCiianna at the end. And after he died I didn’t feel lucky so I became LouCii LouCiianna.
Q: Can you recall the first song that you ever recorded, or the first time that you ever recorded?
LouCii: The first song I ever recorded I wrote back in 2008 called Wishful Thinking still my favorite song, and a damn good one!
Q: What is the process like when you’re writing a song? Is the process easy, or is it difficult for you?
LouCii: I like to be in a dark private setting 2-3 blunts rolled, and just spazz out. I can literally write 4 songs in a hour literally! It’s easy for me it’s like when I hear the beat and it speaks to me the words just flow sometimes I creep myself out!
Q: You have audition for platforms like American Idol, and Sunday Best. Can you tell us what that experience was like?
LouCii: So I’ma going to be real. AMERICAN IDOL was commercial as fuck! Slept in the street 3 days, and people that could straight blow got turned away while clowns in costume excelled . Sunday’s Best was a different, and spiritual journey for me. I got to meet great people, and learned a lot about my voice. Oh, and ended up meeting Charlie Baltimore (from Murder Inc) worked, and wrote for her!
Q: You recently released your brand new single Russian Roulette. Tell us how you come up with this concept for your new single?
LouCii: I’ve been hurt before to the fullest, and when the beat was made the Russian Roulette part kept playing in my head, and then the pen took off! Anyone can relate when a muthafucka playing with your heart, and emotions
Q: What can we expect from LouCii LouCianna in 2021?
LouCii: Expect the unexpected!! What I mean is I’m versatile, artistic edgy, full of pain, and I got a lot of shit to say! You can guarantee REAL MUSIC 90’s type vibes and a sexy but subtle style I write I sing and I rap I’m 3 of a kind baby ! Thanks for all the love, and support.
