Q: How was it growing up in Tuskegee, Alabama?
Dula Banks: It was rough I tell you; it wasn’t easy drugs money & murder I had to separate myself from the streets.
Q: What made you record your first song in 2016?
Dula Banks: I was at a friend’s house which he had DJ equipment, so I decided to play with the sounds, and I potentially came up with a hook & song.
Q: What makes Dula Banks different from other rappers?
Dula Banks: My mindset remaining real really being in the streets everything I rap about I live it ain’t no cap in my rap was born in the trap.
Q: How did you link with LOaD Breed label?
Dula Banks: I was stuck in a situation making bad business decisions with a label/company still selling dope couldn’t focus on my craft and after I got out my contract with my old company I reached out to Monsta Luther King load breed label and he decided what route I needed to go as far as an artist and he let me knew what we can do and how far we could go so with that being said he kept his word & um here now load breed.
Q: You just dropped “Dula Banks” and “Praying for Me” what advice can you give artists when releasing music?
Dula Banks: Stay focus no matter what when you’re releasing music make sure it’s authentic be precise do it to the best of your ability believe in yourself.
Q: Do you feel artists should remain independent or sign with a label in 2022?
Dula Banks: I feel like either way being independent or signing to a label as long as you have good music good material & the right team it’s a winning situation.
Q: As your career progress what song do you feel brought the most exposure to your music career?
Dula Banks: Hating & Waiting Dula Banks Praying For me.
Q: What can we expect next from Dula Banks?
Dula Banks: Expect me to go harder this year 2022 I done set back to long I’m finna start dropping more often.
