Lil Wayne has promised fans that they can expect to hear Tha Carter VI before the end of 2025.
Speaking with AT&T at the College Football Playoff National Championship in Atlanta on Monday (January 20), Weezy was asked if he would be releasing the long-awaited album this year.
He gave a simple response: “Guaranteed.”
It’s the most positive sign yet that Tha Carter VI is on the way, with Wayne having not released a solo album since 2020’s Funeral.
The Young Money capo has been teasing the project for years and appears to have been working with some unexpected collaborators.
Last year, Warren G revealed that he had worked on a track for the upcoming album.
He said on SiriusXM: “I got a record called ‘All Alone’ with Lil Wayne. It’s gonna be on Tha Carter VI. They was like, ‘We need this, Warren. Let us go on and get that.’ I was like, ‘Aight, that’s cool.’
“It’s me and him on there. That muthafucka’s so vicious. When they hear that, they gon’ be like, ‘Wow!’ […] This is a banger.”
