Kingsmen producer, Isiah McKinnon’s interest in music began at an early age. As the son of Isiah
McKinnon, Sr, the lead singer of popular NJ band, Fillet of Soul – known for selling out NY tri-state
area stadiums- Isiah continues to follow in the footsteps of his musical family. McKinnon’s
upbringing included learning to play an instrument including the piano and drums. Learning to
play the piano by ear was just the beginning. By his teens, Isaiah’s love for music transformed into
an interest in music production.
By the mid 2000’s, after converting his mother’s garage into a music studio, McKinnon built and
successfully operated his first home-based music production studio for nearly three years. In
, joining forces with childhood friend “Dre” and longtime friend Ron Thomas, the
dynamic team formed Kingsmen Production Group based out of the Delaware Valley and New
York Tri-state areas.
“Zay” as he is affectionately known, has produced several tracks for well-recognized names
throughout the entertainment industry including, Earth Wind and Fire, and The Real Housewives
of Atlanta. His most recent project includes producing tracks for ‘America’s Got Talent’ finalist
Celina Graves ahead of her upcoming EP release.
As an accomplished musician, Mckinnon can often be found playing the keyboard for Sunday
Morning services for worship centers of all sizes. He and his team currently host a weekly hour-
long radio show on Da Mix Radio. Together with Kingsmen, he continues to produce music for up
and coming artists and entertainment -focused organizations throughout the Delaware Valley and
NY Tri-state areas.
