Post Malone “Congratulations” Gets Certified Diamond

On Oct. 8, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed that the 24-year-old’s single “Congratulations” featuring Quavo has been certified diamond. The 2017 single, which is featured on Post’s debut studio album, Stoney, has moved more than 10 million units since it was released two years ago. The track spent peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

On the song’s hook, Posty recognizes his own success and people’s reaction to his fame. “Now they always say, ‘Congratulations’/Worked so hard, forgot how to vacation/They ain’t never had the dedication/People hatin’, say we changed and look we made it/Yeah, we made it,” he delivers.
“Congratulations” also came with a feature from Migos member, Quavo who delivered a verse that speaks to his rise to the top and the patience it took to get there. “Now I can scream that we made it (We made it!)/Now everywhere, everywhere I go, they say ‘gratulation (Ooh)/Young nigga, young nigga, graduation (Yeah)/I pick up the rock and I ball, baby (Ball)/I’m looking for someone to call, baby (Brr),” Quavo raps on the song.
Post Malone is among performers like Drake, Tupac, T.I., Juciy J, and OutKast who have received diamond placards during the span of their careers.
