Q: What inspired you to get into the music game?
Yoty Onda Trappie: Writing poems to express myself without anyone knowing. That was my only escape from the pain.
Q: Can you recall the very first time that you ever recorded? If so, what was the first song that you ever recorded?
Yoty Onda Trappie: The first song I ever recorded was (PAIN) and it is my mother’s favorite song till today. I still remember what I was going through at the time the song was made.
Q: What is the feeling you have when you’re in a recording session?
Yoty Onda Trappie: When I get behind the mic all my problems fade away and I get Intune with myself then release it all in my music.
Q: Being from the city of Albany Georgia. Which is a city that has broken a few artists into the mainstream scene. Are there any artists from your city that you want to work with?
Yoty Onda Trappie: My city is just like any other city. We work hard on craft and image because coming from the country people underestimate the greatness Albany gives out. We have plenty of great artist I will soon work with from my city EX: D’usse ,Deze Ransom, Slump ,Deewill ,BoontDaddy and more.
Q: This is a question that I asked every independent artist. If you could work with any mainstream artist, who would it be, and why?
Yoty Onda Trappie: It would be Boosie BadAzz, because of his energy and wisdom. THE WORLD WAITING FOR US TO DO A TRACK !
Q: How did you get the name Yoty Onda Trappie?
Yoty Onda Trappie: I got my name from my brother TRAIL.G, because my wife had got an Obama phone when we were 17. And I made 100K on the trap phone and moved out of state, and still had the phone. I did 6 years on that phone.
Q: Tell us about your new single Step On It. What’s the concept behind the new single?
Yoty Onda Trappie: Step On It is a song for people who put the SH** on every day. Step On It is for have energy to get that money every day. Step On It is for those ones who like to go 100+ like me.
Q: What can we expect from Yoty Onda Trappie in 2022?
Yoty Onda Trappie: I expect all this hard work to pay off in 2022. I have been grinding like I don’t know what sleep is anymore.
