For weeks the media world has been talking about the epic Verzuz Battle between the two southern powerhouse labels, Cash Money Vs No Limit Records. The epic Verzuz battle finally went down last night (Oct 25th) between the most dominating labels of their time. Everything kicked off with Juvenile performing his smash single “400 Degrees” from his Multi-Platinum 400 Degrees. In my personal opinion that was a good look for the Cash Money camp, because it most definitely got the crowd hyped. Master P, and the No Limit camp kicked everything off with their smash single “We No Limit Soldiers” which also had the crowd into the start of things. The Big Tymers followed up with their smash single “Still Fly” from their Platinum selling album Hood Rich. Master P followed up with his smash single “Break’em Off Sumthing” featuring UGK from his Platinum selling album Ice Cream Man. Me personally I fell like that this should have been what Master P should have started the show with. Overall the show was epic because this was the very first time that the two camps has ever been of stage together. Mia X definitely held it down for No Limit. It was good to see her performing on the stage as the only female to perform in that whole Verzuz. She deserve her flowers for everything that she did being the 1st Lady of the Tank, and breaking down door for others female artists in the South. Juvenile was clearly the star for Cash Money. He held Cash Money throughout the night. It was good to see Juvenile get his flowers as well. With everything that he contribute to the game with his classic hits. Of course, it was some take aways on both sides. With C-Murder, and Mystikal both currently serving incarcerated. We could have gotten Mystikal verse on Silk The Shocker’s “It Ain’t My Fault”, or even his songs on No Limit like “The Man Right Chea”, “Unpredictable”, and “Still Smoking”. And it would have been good to see C-Murder himself perform his hit single “Down For My Ni**as” along side Snoop Dogg at the Verzuz Battle. And clearly on the Cash Money side with their biggest star of the decade Lil Wayne. Wayne could have performed hits off Tha Block Is Hot, 500 Deegreez, Tha Carter, Tha Carter 2, Tha Carter 3, Tha Carter 4, Like Father Like Son, and The Hot Boys along side Turk. Not having Lil Wayne, and Turk there did play a big part of the Cash Money side. If you were to asked me who win that Verzuz last night. My personal opinion was that No Limit had the better listing than Cash Money last night. I would say if Lil Wayne would have been there than I don’t know. Overall this was a win for the culture, a win for the South period. Seeing two powerhouse labels from the some city of New Orleans, that been known to have fiction with each other over the years. To see them performing on stage together last night was a major win for the culture. I would love to see a Cash Money/No Limit Tour come out of this. Who knows what 2026 can bring.
