Q: Being a native from Atlanta, at what age were you exposed to music?
Backwud Marc: “I’ve been exposed to music from the beginning. My grandmother was an Eastern Star and the DJ at the Elks lodge on Auburn Ave. My father and all his siblings could lift every voice and sing… so I’ve always been around the music.”
Q: What made Backwud Marc want to be in the music industry?
Backwud Marc: “I never actually ‘wanted to be in the music industry’. I just love music. I’m a fan of music and I love to make it.”
Q: How did you come up with the name Backwud Marc?
Backwud Marc: “Backwud came from being from the south. Marc came from my mother”
Q: How was the experience collaborating with Shonuff and forming Da Backwudz?
