6ix9ine has been arrested in the Dominican Republic for allegedly assaulting his longtime girlfriend Yailín la Más Viral, with whom he also had a physical altercation last month.
TMZ has confirmed that the “GUMMO” rapper (real name Daniel Hernandez) was taken into custody on Wednesday (January 17) for allegedly inflicting “physical and psychological violence” on Yailín.
Currently, he is being held in a jail cell in Santo Domingo, where the judge presiding over the case has yet to render a decision on bail.
This is just the latest bit of legal drama that 6ix9ine has had to face regarding his tumultuous relationship with Yailín la Más Viral. Last month, she was charged with felony assault following the release of footage of the couple in a physical altercation.
According to arrest records obtained by HipHopDX, the Dominican rapper (real name Jeorjina Guillermo Diaz) was arrested in Palm Beach County, FL, in the early hours of Friday (December 15).
She was charged with felony battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, obstruction of justice, and criminal damage to property worth $1000 or more. A surety bond of $9,000 was posted for her by record producer Santiago “Alofoke” Matias, courtesy of 561 Bail Bonds.
