Q: Let’s pick up where we left off. You didn’t get to play on the court like you wanted to this basketball season because of a prior injury. What happened to make you not be able to play the whole season?
Xzayvior: After my injury I played my last two freshman season games & came to JV and didn’t play as much as I wanted to. I couldn’t play the whole JV season because the coaching staff decided to play the sophomores more than freshman for player development for their junior year.
Q: The passion that you have for the game of basketball is so unique. How often do you practice when you’re not in school?
Xzayvior: When I’m on the court I get a rush of determination to dominate at every aspect of the game. It’s like I get in a flow state and it feels like I’m on auto mode.
Q: What is that feeling like when you’re out there on the court?
Xzayvior: The league I’m currently about to be playing in is a summer league. Teams host games at their home court, similar to a AAU tournament. Varsity squad goes to Atlanta to perform in front of D1 coaches.
Q: You’re getting ready to head into your Sophomore year. What can we expect from you on the basketball court next year? Will you be playing JV or Varsity?
Xzayvior: Heading into my sophomore year people should expect me to be more locked in and determined to the game of basketball more than I was my freshman year. This year I will be playing JV and Varsity. I’m working & plan to play good minutes on both teams!
Q: Thank you for conducting this interview. Any last comments that you would like to make?
Xzayvior: Thank you for the interview I’m more than grateful for the offer!
