A$AP Rocky debuted a new song during his headline set at Rolling Loud California this past weekend and it references the rivalry between Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole.
While perched on the edge of an actual helicopter, the Harlem rapper performed a previously unheard song and made it clear where he stands on the battle between Hip Hop’s “Big Three.”
“I ain’t on J. Cole’s, I ain’t on Drake’s, I ain’t on Kendrick’s side / I choose homicide, they gon’ see a different side,” he declared on the tough-talking track, which appears to sample Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise.”
The song also seemingly takes aim at A$AP Relli, Rocky’s former friend and A$AP Mob cohort who recently took him to trial (and lost) over claims the rap star shot him in 2021.
“N-ggas do the most when they irrelevant / Claiming A$AP, but we were never friends,” he spits.
Pretty Flacko also premiered a handful of other new songs during his set, including collaborations with Metro Boomin and BossMan Dlow, although he did not confirm whether they will appear on his forthcoming album Don’t Be Dumb.
