
Q: Being the CEO of LOaD Breed and an artist as well does it sometimes become frustrating doing both?
Monsta Luther King: I feel that it can be a challenge at times, but anything worth having is worth the work put in for it.
Q: . Where did the name Monsta Luther King come from?
Monsta Luther King: Martin Luther spoke to the suburban class, and I speak to and for the gutter. When they think of a Monster they think of fear, what’s more frightening than a street smart, educated black man?
Q: Being a black male in hip hop, what would you tell other black males who is trying to become rappers in the music industry?
Monsta Luther King: Stay consistent and dedicated.
Q: Do you feel a lot of black male’s mimic what they see in music videos and hear in songs?
Monsta Luther King: True indeed. That’s one of the problems in today’s society, the kids mimicking the lies they hear.
Q: What makes Monsta Luther King music so strong without you focusing on drugs, guns and women?
Monsta Luther King: I’m not sure why people gravitate to my music the way they do. A lot of times real recognize real, and that’s what my music is.
Q: If you could change one thing in the music industry what would it be?
Monsta Luther King: The way the doors aren’t open for all talent to have a chance. It’s on who you know and not your talent.
Q: People may not know but Monsta Luther King is well educated with street smarts and school knowledge. Could you tell the people the degrees you have? And what would you tell young black males today about education?
Monsta Luther King: I’ve obtained a Bachelor’s in Marketing as well as a Masters in Management, hoping to complete my PhD soon. I’d tell them that your brain is the strongest muscle in the body and that all should practice exercising it.
Q: What made Monsta Luther King further his education? And do you think furthering your education with help you in the music industry?
Monsta Luther King: I actually furthered my education so that I could inform myself more about the industry and the ins and outs of it.
Q: How & why did you start LOaD Breed label & Apparel company? Do you feel LOaD Breed can be doing more as a label & Apparel company?
Monsta Luther King: I started the label because I feel that there is a lot of overlooked real talent out here and I plan on bringing it to the light. We will eventually do more and expand but for now, first things first lol.
Q: LOaD Breed is a label with several artists, producer and a comedian. How does Monsta Luther King manage it all still balancing his career, school, and everyday life?
Monsta Luther King: It’s a job without a doubt, but again dedication and determination is what’s needed to achieve the ultimate goal.
Q: You just dropped a few new songs such as “I Miss You”, “Ride or Die” and have a new one on the way called “Homicide Callin” what motivates you to keep making music?
Monsta Luther King: I make music to soothe the savage beast lol.
Q: Is LOaD Breed looking to sign new artists come 2022? And what makes LOaD Breed label different from other labels?
Monsta Luther King: The label is looking to add to the roster soon enough but again “first things first”.
