the folks at Billboard announced that the Toronto superstar’s hit single, “God’s Plan,” had become his longest-leading Billboard Hot 100 single by securing the chart’s No. 1 spot for its 11th consecutive week. His 2016 Views single, “One Dance,” held the previous record at 10 weeks.

Last week, the site reported that Drizzy had become the only male leading act with two 10-week runs atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. By reaching its 10th week at the top of the hallowed chart, “God’s Plan” secured Drizzy a place beside Diddy and Elton John as two of the only other solo male acts to even have 10-week runs atop the chart. Now, Drizzy’s put even more distance between himself and that particular distinction.

This news comes on the heels of Drizzy releasing “Nice for What,” an electric, Lauryn Hill-sampling record that’s got a visual featuring some of the most talented women the world’s got to offer. It doesn’t feel like much of a stretch to say the tune, which is produced by Murda Beatz, will soon find a home near the very top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

With a few relatively new hit singles in tow, and the attention of the entire world, Drizzy appears poised to make 2018 the latest addition to his endless list of conquests. Shout out to the 6 God.
